abstract

for the first time lactic acid was applied as an efficient and green catalyst for the one-pot three-component synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthols via the condensation between arylaldehydes, 2-naphthol and amides or urea under thermal solvent-free conditions in good to excellent yields. we have demonestrated a mild and efficient eco-friendly tandem synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthols using lactic acid as a novel organoacid green promoter, which uses neither harsh conditions nor the use of hazardous or toxicant catalysts and reagents. this methodology has a number of advantages including: short reaction times, high yield, use of non-toxic and inexpensive catalyst, elimination of solvent and easy work-up.

One-Pot Multi-Component Synthesis of Amidoalkyl Naphthols with Potassium Hydrogen Sulfate as Catalyst under Solvent-Free Condition

One-pot multicomponent condensation of β-naphthol, aromatic aldehydes, acetamide or urea in the presence of potassium hydrogen sulfate was carried out under solvent-free condition to afford amidoalkyl naphthols in 83%~96% yields.

Sulfonated Porous Carbon (SPC): An efficient and recyclable solid acid catalyst for one-pot three-component synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones under solvent-free conditions

A simple and efficient procedure has been developed for the synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones derivatives under solvent-free conditions. This method uses the condensation of isatoic anhydride, aldehydes, and amines in the presence of a catalytic amount Sulfonated Porous Carbon (SPC). One of the important advantages of the new method is that the SPC could be recycled and reused.

Natural Kaolin supported sulfuric acid as an efficient catalyst for the preparation of 1, 1-diacetates under solvent-free conditions

A facile and efficient method for the preparation of 1,1-diacetates of aldehydes is improved. The acidified kaolin with sulfuric acid (2 % w/w) catalyzed 1,1-diacetates formation from aldehydes in solvent-free conditions. Both aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes gave high yields (85-95 %) of the corresponding 1, 1-diacetates. Advantages of this method are the use of inexpensive and selective catal...
